17 December, 2025As 2025 comes to an end, the discussions and decisions of IndustriALL’s fourth Congress in Sydney are still fresh. Congress is more than a meeting; it is where we take stock and set our collective direction. The days in Sydney were a success, but more importantly it is a mandate. A mandate from affiliates across every region and sector to act with clarity, courage and determination in a world that is becoming more unequal, more unstable and more hostile to working people.

20 February, 2025The Tongyeong Branch of Changwon District Court in South Korea has convicted 28 subcontracted shipbuilding workers at Hanwha Ocean of "obstruction of business" following their 51-day strike in 2022, part of their struggle for union recognition.

Fighting anti-union legislations in South East Asia

28 January, 2025Trade unionists from South East Asia gathered virtually on 22 January to exchange updates on labour law reform and commit to opposing anti-union legislation threatening workers' rights. 50 unionists from IndustriALL affiliates in Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines and Thailand shared updates.

Trabajadores metalúrgicos surcoreanos organizan una huelga nacional para defender la democracia

6 December, 2024Las fábricas del sector metalúrgico de Corea del Sur se paralizaron hoy cuando decenas de miles de trabajadores respondieron a una convocatoria de huelga general de dos horas del Sindicato de Trabajadores Metalúrgicos de Corea (KMWU), afiliado a IndustriALL. Las huelgas se producen tras una reunión de emergencia del Comité Ejecutivo Central del sindicato, en la que se instó a los afiliados a hacer huelga durante al menos dos horas por turno los días 5 y 6 de diciembre para exigir la dimisión del presidente Yoon Suk Yeol.

Serbia: workers in Yura need fair wages and decent working conditions

18 November, 2024Today, the Hyundai/Kia network, Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia, together with the Independent Union of Metalworkers of Serbia IndustriALL Global Union and industriAll European Trade Union, met to express their solidarity with the workers of Yura in Serbia in their struggle for union recognition, fairer wages and decent working conditions.

Samsung electronics workers announce indefinite strike

12 July, 2024The National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU) in South Korea has mobilized 6,000 members to join the first strike in the 55-year history of Samsung Electronics at the company’s semiconductor facility in Hwaseong. The strike was called over failed collective bargaining negotiations and union busting.
